I am a Biochemistry graduate student from North Carolina State University (graduated in 2018).
I have research and well-rounded academic experience, having taken courses covering all of the sciences, as well as additional courses in social sciences and second languages.
I have 3 years tutoring experience working one-on-one as a tutor for various biochemistry, chemistry and biology lecture and laboratory university courses. I am able to tutor in university and high school science ( biochemistry, chemistry, biology).
I have completed many courses encompassing multiple aspects of biology, including : Classical Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, Molecular Genetics of Eukaryotes, Microbial Genetics, Protein & Nucleic Acid Biochemistry, and Molecular Cell Biology.
I want to be a tutor because I enjoy teaching and helping others discuss and work through challenges that students have in these subjects. Whether you are someone who is really struggling to grasp complex concepts or are a good student who is looking to reach the next level in your comprehension of the subject matter, I am confident that I can help you achieve your educational goals in a comfortable and enjoyable manner. I have had the opportunity to work one-on-one with students throughout my graduate school career. My job as a tutor is to find out what teaching style or presentation will make my students better comprehend the subject matter. First, I try to find out what sparks the interests in the students and try to
relate the subject matter accordingly.
I am an active individual. I enjoy and am passionate about music and swimming. I am very focused on my academics; however, I also like to have fun. So, as a result, I always relate my studying to some sort of technique to liven up the process. I am personable, charismatic and funny. I make it a priority to make my students feel relaxed and comfortable. While I do challenge them, I make sure to do it in a nurturing manner so as to enable them to unlock their learning potential.
