I graduated from UCLA with my degree in Economics. While I was at UCLA, I tutored students ages 10-14 in varying subjects. After graduating from college, I moved to Prague, Czech Republic and became a teacher. I was a Second Grade classroom teacher at an international school. While there, I tutored second and fifth grade students for Mathematics, English as a second language, and Cambridge Exam preparation.
I have my TEFL certification, so I am able to teach English as a second language. I also passed the CBEST and am currently substitute teaching students in grades K-12.
Both teaching and tutoring have been very rewarding for me! I love to see the progress that my students have made over time. Having one-on-one time is crucial in understanding a student's strengths and weaknesses, and knowing what processes will be effective in their learning.
Math is my all-time favorite subject! I am a "numbers person" and I have a very logical, analytical thought process. Growing up, math subjects were always my strong suit and they still are to this very day.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my tutoring sessions! I look forward to helping you understand those difficult subjects and getting you on track to ace those tests!
