My first experience tutoring came while attending the University of Southern California in 2005. There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more

The COOP stands for the "Cooperative Admissions Examination Program" and it is used for entrance into many private Catholic schools. The HSPT stands for the "High School Placement Test" which is used to determine admissions, scholarship selections, and class placement. Both tests are similar and extremely important. If you are shooting for your child to get into a great high school, they will likely have to take one of these two tests to determine their ability to succeed in high achieving schools. The best way to secure admission is by hiring a COOP/HSPT tutor who specializes in these exams and making students stand out to admissions officers. Many parents don't hire a tutor for this exam and think their children are prepared enough to handle it on their own. A select few parents have their children work with professionals to prepare and those are the few that are accepted into the top high schools. If you get your child started with COOP/HSPT tutoring, this is likely what will happen next:

When it comes to education, every action has a reaction. It may not seem like it, but one little thing you do earlier down the road might affect your entire future and educational path. For example, studies have shown that children whose parents read to them from an early age will be much more successful in school and in life. This is why it is crucial to hire a COOP/HSPT tutor if you are planning on having your child apply for selective enrollment schools. Without a tutor, they may not get in, which will ultimately affect their whole future. Many people don't realize it, but the education a student gets in high school is so important. Not only will your grades determine what schools you get into, colleges also look at students from high achieving schools more. When researching tutoring options it is important to think about:

Ash is a very determined and knowledgeable teacher. She works closely with both student and parents. I could see my child got improved a lot after her teaching. She explained the reason and grammar well to my son and he said in every lesson he learns many things and was provided important information. She also communicated parents and understood kids’ need very well. Wish her the best in the future.
