As an expert teacher in the field of music teaching, I frequently give presentations and workshops at music conferences across the U.S. I enjoy helping students reach their maximum potential through proven strategies that focus on healthy posture and piano technique, expressive playing, efficient practice, and well-rounded musicianship. I currently serve as National Certification Chair for the Music Teachers National Association Certification Program and work with evaluators to ensure that certification candidates meet professional teaching standards.
After an initial student assessment, I provide a professional plan of study that ensures that each student will have the best opportunity for success with piano lessons. Careful leveling and planning are a part of each student's custom-tailored curriculum. I want to help students become the best versions of themselves as musicians, all while having fun and playing the music they love!
I currently specialize in virtual piano lessons and enjoy teaching students from all over the world. I've invested a lot of time and money in continually improving my virtual teaching environment. You can expect a great setup from my end, including professional video, audio, and lighting, as well as multiple camera angles, and 500 Mbps fiber-optic high-speed internet. Check out the studio tour video!
To provide the best results for visual learners, I utilize the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to screen share and add lesson notes directly onto the digital sheet music. These annotations can then be shared with you via e-mail after each lesson.
Sample recordings, supplementary teaching videos, and online resources are additional value-adds that my students receive at no additional cost. This means you can continue learning and reviewing between lessons.
I'm happy to answer questions and discuss more details about how piano lessons could meet your needs. Students of all ages are welcome.
