Hello! If you're looking for someone to help you overcome challenges in statistics, social science, and writing, then you've come to the right place!
As part of my PhD I have over five years of in-class teaching experience. Now through tutoring I have helped dozens of students in a variety of different social science fields.
One of my main areas of tutoring expertise is in statistics. I have developed a mini course to help high school students preparing for the AP statistics exam. I also specialize in helping students and professionals learn how to use statistics software. I have tutored thousands of hours in STATA and R, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if running statistics in Excel, SPSS, or Python. The above-mentioned programs can be difficult to master and learning the associated coding languages can feel like, well, learning a whole new language. My combination of coding experience and quantitative research background put me in a unique position to help students with a wide range of STATA and R related topics. Let me teach you how to do the coding so that your great project ideas can shine!
Throughout the learning process I constantly ask questions and assess comprehension. Gradually students are expected to do more and more of their own work as my teaching role shifts to helping them understand where they make mistakes and providing consistent feedback. A key component of my tutoring sessions is working towards highly detailed learning objectives that we decide together. I've personally seen the merits of this approach as students I’ve tutored have excelled in the following ways:
Passed classes and exams at multiple levels and across many different majors.
Got into Stanford business school.
Won a national award for a research paper.
And last but not least, got the jobs they wanted!
Teaching others is my dream and passion. Choosing me as your tutor means you will get a highly personalized, positive, and goal-oriented learning experience. Are you ready to achieve success?!
