About Emily

I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Children's Literacy. Since graduating, I have taught one year in kindergarten, and one year in first grade. My favorite thing about teaching the younger grades is the focus on foundational literacy skills! I offered tutoring services in the areas of reading and writing to my own students, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to expand my tutoring services beyond my classroom. I use a combination of research-based methods and the interests of each student in order to develop a tutoring program that meets each child's needs most effectively. I believe that every child has the ability to succeed, and it is my dedicated goal to help each student reach his or her maximum potential!
