Since graduating with a B.A. in Deaf Studies from CSU, Northridge I have been working as a freelance interpreter and tutor. I have over 200 hours of online tutoring experience in both ASL and ASL/English interpreting. In my tutoring process, I enjoy working with the student to figure out what they’re looking for in a tutor, discussing their strengths and struggles, and creating lesson plans that work for them. My style is incredibly flexible and adjusts frequently with student needs.
If you have any questions or curiosities about my tutoring process please feel free to reach out! I look forward to chatting with you and hopefully getting to work together!

She has been one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is really patient when it comes to lessons and is flexible when it comes to time no matter where you are located. Her tutoring helped me to keep learning even when COVID shut down everything and is still my preferred teacher of learning ASL aside from my professors.
She's amazing!!
Monique has been a wonderful tutor for me. Myself and my professors have both noticed an improvement. Monique really tailors our sessions to my needs. She seems genuinely excited for me when I'm doing good and is extremely supportive when I'm struggling. I always look forward to our sessions. Monique is a phenomenal tutor.
