To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more

Norfolkers love their art and you can go all over town to see some of the best art in Virginia. However, they do not only have painters and filmmakers in this town there are several other types of artists as well. The Virginia Arts Festival is held in Norfolk and it celebrates an array of artists. This festival has ballet dancers, sketch comics, jazz musicians, military musicians, and several other types. When you come to Norfolk you will be left pleased when it comes to the arts.
This is a town that supports their local arts which is something that seems to be rarer than ever in the United States. If you are a professional dancer while in high school then you know the definition of student-athlete. When I was in high school I went to school with a girl who was a professional dancer. She spent most of her time on the road touring with major artists, so when it came to school, from the outside looking it, it felt like she was letting it take a back seat.
But that was not true at all and she actually ended up graduating before the rest of us because she put in so much time with tutors. You know the benefits of working with a tutor in a particular subject you are struggling like English. A Norfolk English tutor knows what you are going through because they have worked with students similar to you. The only thing on your mind is dancing but you also need to focus on your English class.
Your in-person English tutor is going to make sure that you are able to spend a certain amount of time each week on your course work. The best thing is, you get to pick when and how many hours you are spending in your Norfolk English tutoring sessions. We let you create the schedule so you do not feel forced or rushed with your tutor.

Essay writing is a skill that has to be developed. But when you talk about writing an essay during a timed exam you are dealing with an entirely different beast. For example, the ACT is an exam that students are going to have to take if they want to get into college. The writing section on this exam is optional, however, some colleges require it.
Even the ones who not require it, still recommend that you take this portion so that your score stands out. If you already struggled writing essays then you definitely do not want to this on the ACT. But you are going to have to, so it is important to get help from one of our English tutors in Norfolk. We will match you with an ACT writing tutor who can give you preparation skills that you can use.
At the end of the day, it is only you and the test. You will not have your tutor their with you and you will not know what the question is so you have to make sure you are prepared. Alone, you have no idea what to expect because all you can do is speculate.
You have never taken this exam, but one of our tutors in Norfolk has been working with students for several years on the ACT. They know what is going to pop up and can give you the necessary insight. When it comes to English tutoring in Norfolk there is not even a viable second option. HeyTutor is your one-stop shop for all of your tutoring needs.
