If you are on the brink of failure the first thing that you have to do in your science class is to start believing in yourself. If you do not think that you can do the work then you are never going to be able to do anything right. Crying and cursing at the wind is only going to break your heart when you get your final grade back.
You have to swear to yourself that you are not going to let yourself forget all of the bad things that have happened in this class. But when you work with science tutoring in Columbus you are making a promise to yourself. This commitment is that you are going to grind and get things done in this class the right way.
We recently had a student in a college class who was struggling. It was an Intro to Geology course that she was taking for her English major. Now, since she was an English major she hated anything that had to do with science and up until she called us she did not have to take a science course. But she was enrolled in one and now had to get things done that she did not want to do.
We hooked her up with one of our professional science tutors in Columbus and she got things going. Our geology tutor immediately identified the problem. She was not motivated so she was not doing her work and was missing most classes. Our tutor intervened and gave her hope by creating learning activities that were especially for the student. She was able to pass this class and move on to classes that she actually enjoyed.

To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more

After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more
