I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish in May 2020. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching degree for Spanish PK-12 and ESL. I have been a Spanish tutor for 9 years and I am Level 1 certified by the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA). I am comfortable/have experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school to college. My Spanish education spans 10 years and I have studied abroad in Latin America, thus I understand the complexities of learning a second language and how to teach it.
My goal as a tutor is to help my students feel increasingly confident in their abilities and the subject matter after each session, so that they can successfully achieve the goals they set for themselves in an encouraging yet disciplined manner. In each session, students should expect to expand their comprehension of the subject matter, learn to analyze the material, actively apply their knowledge, and evaluate the information based on what they know. Overall, the goal is to work closely with the students and help them understand and engage the subject matter in a way that is entertaining and interesting.
