I have 7 years of overall teaching experience in grades 6-8. I taught math in Las Vegas, and I plan on continuing my career path in San Antonio, TX. I have substitute teaching experience, in addition to this in grades 9 - 11 (substitute taught in Austin). I also worked for Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor for grades 6 and 8 last year. I also speak fluent Spanish, and taught ESL students and parents. As a tutor I m here to uplift and make a difference in the lives of students by feeding them knowledge, leadership, and the willingness to become productive students throughout their academic lives. Earning their trust coupled with the respect is very crucial because this becomes the foundation to comfort, safety, and success. I hope to continually seek out better ways to reach my students and engage them. It s important that they find fun in learning, especially math.
