I am a Master's prepared nurse educator (MSN-Education Specialization) with over 25 years of healthcare experience, including clinical practice in rehabilitation, ICU, emergency, and post-anesthesia care. Most recently, I have been employed full-time as Nursing Faculty for over 5 years in a multi-program College of Nursing (PN/VN, ADN, & BSN). I currently hold two national educational certifications; Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl).
My teaching style is one that embraces research-based practices such as learner centeredness and innovative/multifaceted teaching modalities. More importantly, I incorporate nursing theories, such as goal attainment and caring, that facilitate a non-threatening and fun learning environment.
