I have a B.S. in biology, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in microbiology/biology, and I have 12 years teaching experience at the professional level; 6 years at a university, and 6 years at a medical school. I am a research-trained laboratory scientist.
I have much experience tutoring students in a variety of areas, including basic biology, microbiology, virology, basic immunology, and basic math. I also have experience designing individual practice lessons and study problem sets, specifically geared towards the individual student.
I am quite willing to adjust my tutoring style to the individual's knowledge base and usual learning speed. Likewise, I can be available at odd hours to suit an individual's schedule.
I am dedicated to helping students learn science, and to learn it well, so that they build confidence in their abilities, and learn to study effectively.
