Hello, my name is Rebecca Holt. I am a current senior at Columbia University majoring in Neuroscience. I have a passion for teaching, and will be joining Teach for America post-graduation. I have been tutoring Calculus, Algebra, and SAT Math for the past 2 years at University, and also work at an after-school program helping high school students complete their science and math homework. I love creating lesson plans and finding new ways to engage with the students and convey the information so it is understandable. I have taken all of the required pre-med courses-from Biology to physics to organic chemistry, and have taken a few math courses for fun! I especially love statistics and calculus.
I have a passion for math, and have experience both taking, teaching, and tutoring high school and college mathematics. I am highly experienced in Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-calculus, Calculus, AP/BC calculus, statistics, and economics. I love working with numbers, and breaking down math problems into steps so it is understandable for all. I also have a passion for chemistry, and have aced all of my general chemistry and organic chemistry classes.
