About Nick

I'm a graduate of Columbia University (B.A. In History; Dean's List; GPA: 3.6) and High School. I have worked as a music Teaching Artist (focusing on world percussion) in New York And New Jersey K-12 classrooms since 2011. In some of my after-school assignments I also tutored middle school students in Math, and English.

My teaching approach encourages students to think independently and develop tools to learn on their own. I strive to make learning fun by connecting learning to areas that students, especially children, can engage in (for example: build Spanish vocabulary by talking about sports, music , food etc). I work to know each student's individual needs, strengths, weaknesses and learning style.
