I am passionate about education and have worked with students across ages, subjects, cultures, and languages. The subjects with which I have the most proficiency are ELA (English Language Arts), ESL (English as a Second Language), Philosophy, and Test Preparation. I am currently a substitute teacher in New York City, where I teach many subjects and all grades; I also have a longstanding private practice with several long-term adult students. Given all this, I am amply prepared to help learners of all backgrounds in a wide variety of areas.
I am dedicated to my students, frequently spending hours outside of sessions to prepare better and maximize my pedagogical impact. The most important part of teaching to me is helping students to achieve their goals; I always insist on a course of study tailored to a student's needs and aim.
In order to ensure that I can be of service to you, I always offer a complimentary introductory session where we can discuss your (or your child's) educational goals and what I believe to be the right course of action.
On a personal note, I will be attending The New School for a master's degree in philosophy beginning this fall; I play and listen to a breadth of music; and I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our cat.
