Hello! After graduating Yale University with a degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics in 2014, I decided to join Teach for America. For two years, I taught Chemistry, Biology, and General Science to high school and middle school students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Through this experience—working with hundreds of students—I learned that teaching is about meeting the needs of the student, listening to students and making concepts relatable. Additionally, I have tutored students for years. At Yale, I was a university-paid Science and Quantitative Reasoning tutor and after graduating, I tutored students on the SAT.
After completing the Teach for America program, I enrolled at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and because I am passionate about teaching, I am continuing to tutor throughout medical school.
