I am currently a PhD student at NYU and my goal is to be an academic after I graduate. I enjoy teaching and have been a teaching assistant for multiple classes at NYU. I also have one-on-one tutoring experience with NYU graduate students.
My philosophy is this: Talent is not a requirement to understand math, it is all about learning productive thought processes that lead to results. As a PhD student in electrical engineering with research in applied math, I am a living proof of my claim as I have never been one of those geniuses. Together we will work hard to pick up those skills required to do math no matter where you are now.
As a side note about myself, I graduated as Engineering Department valedictorian from my college in Turkey and I got perfect score (170) in quantitative section of GRE before I came to US.
