Hi there! I'm a 2018 cum laude Yale graduate with a Bachelor's in History. In college, I studied American History from the pre-colonial period to the aftermath of the Cold War, and I earned honors in my major for my grade point average and the quality of my senior thesis. I've got a record of success in the standardized testing world: I earned a 35 composite ACT score and a 2370 SAT score, with a perfect 1600 in multiple-choice sections. In addition, I'm a prolific writer: I studied creative writing under Susan Choi and Caryl Phillips in college, I won second place in Yale's most prestigious fiction competition as a sophomore, and since 2014 I've been writing for McSweeney's and The New Yorker. Whether you need tips on studying for the SAT's Reading section, are looking for someone to help you wrap your head around the themes and major events of the Progressive era, or just want another pair of eyes on that important AP English essay, I'm your guy!
I primarily work with high school students, and I'm available to tutor all day (9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on Mondays and Thursdays. My availability on weekends is variable; send me a message and we'll figure something out!
