I have a wide variety of teaching and tutoring experiences, spanning more than ten years. I am currently an adjunct instructor in the English Department of the City College of New York, where I teach composition and various writing across the disciplines courses. I am also an active substitute teacher with the NYC Department of Education, with a fairly flexible schedule. I began tutoring through NHS (National Honor Society) as a high school student working with my peers. I hold my undergraduate degree in English Literature from St. John's University, where I worked as a Writing Consultant at their Institute for Writing Studies for three years and assisted students throughout the writing process, and most recently received my MFA in Creative Writing from the City College of New York. In 2014, I volunteered with Reading Partners to promote literacy and formative reading skills at a charter school. From 2015-2018, I worked for the NYC Dept. of Education as a teaching assistant within both general and special education environments, most recently in an elementary school, providing educational support for all subjects. I am honored to help you pursue your educational goals, no matter your age or ability level!
