I graduated from Bates College with a double major in Math and Biology. After college, I moved back to NYC where I have been working as an actress as well as tutoring for the past 3 years. I started out teaching all aspects of the SAT and ACT and then branched out to other standardized tests such as ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, SHSAT, TACHS, COOP, Regis Exam, and the GRE. I also tutor in Math from Middle School to Trigonometry. When I am not working I love watching movies, playing basketball, skateboarding, and spending time with my cat, Mika.

I think I make a great tutor because I am very good at connecting with the students. I have a lot of common interests with the kids, which makes it easy for us to get along. This takes away their anxiety and allows the student to focus more easily. This camaraderie I am able to achieve with the students makes for a very comfortable and relaxing tutoring experience which increases how much they learn. I am also very laid back which puts the student at ease, but at the same time I make sure that all work gets accomplished and I don't allow them to slack off.
