I have been teaching middle school and high school math for over ten years. I focus on students enjoying math along with learning.
I realize students all learn by different styles and at different paces. I consider the student’s personality and their specific needs. I also have discovered that being patient is extremely important as a tutor; students need to feel emotionally safe in order to learn.
I homeschooled my own children through high school. This experience taught me to be patient, flexible and knowledgeable in the field of education.
