I'm a recent graduate of Tufts University, a top tier research institution, where I earned my Masters in Mathematics. Less recently, I was an undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College, a liberal arts school that places emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, one on one conferences in the Oxford style, and creating work driven by the passions of individual students. The main focus of my mathematical life is probability and differential equations, and I love to share mathematics with anyone who will listen. I have experience tutoring mathematics from a student's first encounters with Algebra in Middle school up through core college level courses like Differential Equations, and I also tutor for early to mid-level computer science courses. I am flexible in my approach depending on the student's individual needs, from preparing for a big test to wrapping our heads around a totally new concept that may seem foreign and abstract. My goal is to inspire young students not just to understand material for exams (although that's important too!) but to start to ask meaningful questions about the material and understand why we do mathematics.
