My teaching philosophy is simple as pie: Teach like it is your last day today! As a professional educator, I am guided by principles and purpose. I believe that motivational teaching and motivational learning are critical to helping students succeed. I relentlessly remind students that if they are committed to learn in class, pay attention, take notes, ask questions, do their homework, and prepare for their quizzes and tests, they will excel in all subjects.
My goal in developing this confidence and motivation is to help students become independent learners. I strive to cultivate that curiosity and the desire in our students to strive to know why, ultimately giving them the competitive edge that helps them stand out from the crowd.
My teaching style includes a mix of technical grammar comprehension; immersion drills and conversation skills. I integrate a variety of techniques (visual aids, sound aids, animation, hands-on, verbal and nonverbal activities) to ensure complete understanding of the specific concepts.
I love to make my tutoring methods as dynamic as possible. I offer private, 1-on-1 tutoring at your home or at the nearest public library.
