I am a graduating senior at Cal Poly Pomona and will earn a degree in English Education and teaching English to speakers of other languages with an emphasis in law. When I graduate in June, I am going to China for a month to teach English to secondary students with the Real English Teachers Program. I will be obtaining my Masters in TESOL next year and will continue to teach English in developing countries for a few years before I go to law school. I am a part of the National Society of Leadership and Success at Cal Poly and I studied education, the modern city, and urban planning in Hong Kong and Dubai in summer 2016.I have educated a range of students in English, ESOL, and math up to calculus and was an in-home instructor for children with learning disabilities, specifically autism and ADHD/ADD. I have also tutored Cal Poly students – using synchronous and asynchronous modes – in rhetorical analysis and reading comprehension.
