I received my Bachelor's degree in Gender & Women Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate student, I participated in a work-study program where I began my tutoring journey as a Literacy Tutor for students in grades K-5. By the last year of my undergraduate career, I was tutoring high school students in English, Math, and Spanish. After I graduated, I went on to become a High School Instructional Aide, and expanded my teaching across all subjects (i.e. History, Science, English, Math).
I recently received my Master's in Public Administration from the California State University, Los Angeles and I am currently a Program Coordinator. As my career moves away from direct service with young adults, my goal is to maintain building those relationships and help students excel in their academics.
Tutoring and directly working with youth has always been a fulfilling experience and a huge part of my life. As a Heytutor, I hope to continue working towards my purpose, and help students feel accomplished of their hard work and growth.
