Hi everyone!

My name is Cassius. I am a senior at UCLA, currently undertaking an honors research project on the Dominican intervention of 1965. My major is history, and comparative literature and global studies are my minors. I hope to attend Colombia or Berkeley Law next year!

The best way to better understand most social sciences--history, in particular, I have found--is to throw oneself into the deep end. Reading challenging texts and discussing ideas about them often helps to bring into greater refinement students' understandings of the humanities. I try to apply this principle to my tutoring. In history lessons, I have students read primary source texts as a vehicle for better understanding historical themes and mores. In LSAT prep, intensive review of tests facilitates a similar understanding. That being said, I craft my approach to every individual students' abilities and needs.

I am a steady straight A English student. My SAT English score was in the 98th percentile. I am also currently pursuing a comparative literature minor, focusing on English and Russian literature. I scored a 171 (98th percentile) on the August 2021 LSAT. This was my first try. I can help you improve 5-10 points!

My history library takes up four full bookshelves at the moment! I have been a lifelong history fanatic and straight A history student. I am currently pursuing an honors history major at UCLA. You'll have a tough time finding a more dedicated and passionate history tutor than me!
