I have a Bachelor’s degree in History and German from UCLA, a Master’s degree in Secondary Social Science Education from Loyola Marymount University and over four years of classroom teaching experience. A native Angeleno, I am passionate about helping students connect the historical events they are studying in class to the realities of their present world in a way that encourages them to take a broader stake in what’s going on around them. I am intimately familiar with teaching and scaffolding the techniques used to deliver content in AP History courses including analytical writing, document based questions (DBQ’s), stimulus-based multiple choice questions and free response questions (FRQ’s). Whether you have a test coming up in AP United States History (APUSH), you're putting the final touches on your first DBQ in AP World History, or you're working on a test correction in AP European History, I have the experience and the pedagogical knowledge to help you out.
