Since graduating Teachers College at Columbia University, I have taught 9th grade English at a public school in NYC. While in graduate school I tutored both grade school students, and ELL adults. Recently I moved to Los Angeles, CA and am seeking a new teaching experience. I have compassion, enthusiasm, and knowledge to be a great tutor. I realize being a world-class instructor requires me to consistently ask myself questions about the world, the students, and myself. Maintaining a culturally relevant pedagogy is something that I look forward to in having a lifelong career in education. Being a tutor will provide an ideal opportunity to allow me to develop my skills, and continue learning new ways to teach all students.
