I am currently a Bioengineering PhD Student at UCLA, and a Bioengineering graduate from UCR. I specialize in Neurodegenerative diseases, and have taken coursework in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, math, physics, and bioengineering. As a Writing Skills Tutor, I also have extensive experience in academic writing preparing presentations for both class projects and academic research.. In addition, I have experience tutoring elementary school students in math and science. I believe that tutoring is about patience and adaptability as every student has their own unique learning style. I try to use fun and relevant examples as analogies for topics I teach.
