Hallöchen!! Yes, that was informal, but learning should be fun ;) I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Bavaria, Germany. Although I moved to the states as a teen, I can't wait for my yearly trips home to see the family. I've been tutoring for about 4 years, first with Strommen, Inc. (professional tutoring agency) and then on my own. My reason for leaving Strommen was that I wanted more control in whom/when I teach. I love working with both children and adults. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing your students really taking on what you teach and watching them grow! I almost teared up when one mother told me her young sons were using German around the house - so cool!! I understand that not everyone learns the same way and work with my students to create the perfect lesson plan for their individual needs.
Although, I teach advanced speakers as well, I prefer working with beginners and intermediates - reason being that if you're advanced, go watch a German movie or something! You don't need me to do worksheets with you for an hour...unless you just want someone to talk to to freshen up your German, let's meet for coffee and chat.
