I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from UNC-Wilmington (in North Carolina), and am currently enrolled in California State University, Northridge's Master of Arts program in English.
Since August 2016, I've been a tutor in CSUN's Freshman Writing Lab, where I help students with a variety of writing assignments. Concurrently, I work as a Supplemental Instructor--a teacher for a class designed to augment students' Freshman Composition courses.
I firmly believe that each student is their own best tutor/teacher, so my goal is to facilitate the learning and self-discovery process rather than simply editing things myself. In other words, my approach is student-centered.
