My unique combination of education and experience will ultimately translate into high quality educational opportunities for my students.
While I have a strong background in teaching students, developing educational programs and creating lesson plans, I have also gained practical professional experience in the field of kinesiology through my work as a physical trainer and instructor. I have actively participated in the selection of a new science curriculum and developed programs for new physical education courses.
As a Science teacher, I have first-hand knowledge of the key concepts students will need to fully understand. In particular, I have vast knowledge in the areas of human anatomy, movement and physiology along with mastery in creating learning experiences that help students put these concepts and principles into practice to enhance health, wellness, function and movement.
I believe technology plays a vital part in a student's overall educational experience. As a science teacher I designed and maintained a team website that allowed for the organization of student homework and student updates, and other pertinent information for my fellow educators. I would be an enthusiastic participant in implementing ways for my students to engage in this kind of learning.
I am passionate about enabling student achievement and teaching the concepts to help them achieve those goals. I believe that with my educational and practical professional experience, I have a wealth of knowledge to share that will strongly benefit their future educational endeavors and successes.
