As a public health professional and writer, my goal is to translate complex information into plain language and creatively tailor content that engages and empowers readers. My experience in this area has prepared me to simplify the difficult concepts of science and English, which is especially helpful for students needing support in these areas.
I have tutored friends and family members in science and English, and have edited many student essays, resumes, and research papers. My past experience in the health and writing arena includes developing press releases to garner media interest in Tufts University research as an associate in the Office of Public Relations at Tufts University School of Medicine. In addition, I developed marketing content for non-profit organizations and start up companies in order to promote their services, programs, and accomplishments.
I have learned the immense value of collaborating within a team and drawing from diverse intellectual resources, and this is how I approach tutoring - it's a team effort! I enjoy reading novels and African literature. I can also be a bit of a movie snob; I enjoy films with engaging plots and unique cinematography.
