Mr. Michael Criste holds an MBA from UC Riverside, a BFA in English Composition from Cal State Fullerton, and a conservatory diploma in theater from Orange County School of the Arts.
Following college, Michael worked professionally with Actors' Equity Association for seven years, but then returned to school and earned his MBA. He went on to work with LPL Financial, Merrill Lynch, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Michael has since transitioned to a career in education. He is a certified tutor with multiple companies, for SAT/ACT Test Prep, Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, and English Composition, and holds a CA Secondary Education Teaching Credential in English. “I believe that teaching is the most gratifying career path I can take,” he says. Most recently, he’s worked as an on-call substitute for Newport-Mesa Unified School District, Saddleback Valley Unified School District, Orange County School of the Arts, and Capistrano Unified School District.
“Although I am transitioning to a career in teaching rather late in life, I know that my diverse past will only serve to enhance and inform my skills as a mentor and educator,” Michael says. “I am very much looking forward to dedicating the next several decades of my life to helping students, and spreading knowledge across all locales and demographics.”
