Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 tutor

Hi, my name is Jae and I am an experienced tutor with numerous teaching and tutoring experience. I received my B.S. in mathematics and a M.Ed both from UCLA (Go Bruins!) and a California Secondary teaching credential. I've taught algebra 1 and geometry in two different high schools before and have taught all sorts of students so I believe I can help you!

I've also been a private math tutor for four years and taught all levels of students ranging from elementary to high school and have tutored anywhere from elementary math to AP calculus and I am absolutely comfortable tutoring any level of secondary math (except statistics). I've also tutored at a local community college as a math tutor and have also ran a workshop to help Calculus students review for their upcoming exam.

My philosophy for tutoring is that I will clarify misunderstandings and teach you the mathematical concepts so that you can have a good foundation to eventually be a self-directed learner. I will give you numerous examples if necessary to solidify a concept but I will not do your homework for you.
