About Mallory

Working with students and helping them gain understanding of difficult concepts is very fulfilling to me and provides me with inspiration within my own life to reach for and obtain my goals. I have 6+ years of experience tutoring mostly high school age students in multiple subjects but focusing in on math and science concepts. Through my experiences I have developed educational philosophies including putting an emphasis on study skills and positive college readiness habits, creating a supportive environment where students can ask questions, holding students accountable for their educational goals, and expressing the importance of STEM especially to those underrepresented in the field such as women, like me. I currently have a full time position as an Environmental Scientist working in the field of solid waste and recycling and love my job. I'd love to share my love of STEM and my passion for the environment with students that don't realize how fun a career in math and science can be.
