To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more
Mark Twain, one of the greatest American authors of all time, loved the city of Baton Rouge. He even went so far as to write about the beauty that is within this city. He complimented the dense foliage and the magnificent magnolia trees that surround the Capitol grounds. He loved nature that and felt closer to it than ever when he was in Baton Rouge. This might be why he was so disappointed that they built the Old State Capitol in such an “otherwise honorable place.”
This is tallest state capitol in the entire United States, but Mark Twain was less than impressed by this monstrosity. Most other people disagree as they love to come visit this piece of architecture almost as much as they fancy reading Mark Twain. One of the only authors that is required reading in every high school classroom in America, Twain was quite popular in his day and still is currently.
However, some students hate to read especially when they have to talk about what they have just read in front of the entire class. This is when the interference of a Baton Rouge English tutor can go a long way. Not only will our professional English tutors make sure that you are getting the reading done, but they will make sure that you are ready to go come discussion time.
When I was in high school a large portion of my English grade was participation. If I did not raise my hand (or answer a question correctly when I was arbitrarily called on) I would get a negative mark. Too many of these and I was looking down the barrel of failure. If you are in a class that is similar to this then you will benefit from Baton Rouge English tutoring. I wish I would have known about HeyTutor while I was in high school, I might have gotten an A instead of a C.

There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more

Barely passing a class in college should never be acceptable. You are spending your money to learn at this institution, so you should walk away with your money’s worth. A C might get a degree but you need to take pride in what you are doing. As Mark Twain said “the exquisitely bad is as satisfying to the soul as the exquisitely good. Only the mediocre is unendurable.”
Mediocrity should feel odd to you, especially if you are pursuing a degree in English. You are going to be working with these subjects in some capacity so you need to do your best to master them. That will not happen in only four years, but you will be laying down a foundation on which you can build. If you start to feel like you are losing interest or you are just growing content, you need someone who can rattle your cage.
We can get you matched with one of our English tutors in Baton Rouge who is going to get your head on straight. By introducing new techniques and learning exercises, you are going to be challenged to think. This is why you came to school in the first place and exactly what you are going to do in your Baton Rouge tutoring sessions.
We want to see you accomplish greatness, but mediocrity has never even come close. This is why we push you at HeyTutor but it starts with what you give. Your grades will go up and your knowledge will expand when you put in the work with HeyTutor English tutoring in Baton Rouge.
