I have a Bachelor's degree in German literature, philosophy and intellectual history from Princeton University and studied as a Fulbright Scholar at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. I am pursuing a long-term career in education and learning science while working with students in and around NYC, as well as online.
I was a senior fellow and learning strategies consultant with Princeton’s McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning and the Princeton University Writing Program. I tutor in all subject areas, but I get particularly excited about working with students on their general study and test prep habits and supporting students with their writing, including with college application and scholarship essays.
I see tutoring sessions as an opportunity not only to review subject material, but as an opportunity to reflect and uncover the "hidden curriculum" of coursework and tests. Understanding how classes and tests *work* can be empowering and enlightening, and my goal is to see every student ready and confident to take ownership over their educational future.
