To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more

After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more

I'm a junior and currently pursing a degree in engineering with dual minors in computer science and mathematics. I am passionate about math and like to attend math conferences as well as participate in my schools math club. I enjoy teaching and explaining things to others.
When you are from a specific part of the country and the culture there makes things very specific, you can tell when someone is coming in that is not a native to that place. It makes a real difference when you connect with someone over your home, but that comes from the fact that you have certain values that you respect that others might not. One of the things that I noticed quickly when I moved to the Midwest was that everyone is so much nicer than they are on the east coast. People seem to care more and that caring is often genuine behind the veil of common courtesy. What you might find about trigonometry tutors in Wichita is that you are getting someone that feels like a friend or a neighbor instead of working with someone that feels like a stranger.
That is not to say that a stranger is not the right kind of person to be your math tutor. I was traveling with a friend from the south recently and he pointed out that the things that I was a “city slicker” because I am so used to the amenities of a big city and not used to the realities of living without some of those things. If I were to go to Wichita as a tutor, my foreignness would stick out like a sore thumb. I would bet that you could tell I was not from around there. Am I worse as a tutor than the Wichita trigonometry tutor you might expect? Probably not. But you might see me as too much of an outsider to trust. Now, the real value can come from teaching each other about our own cultures, but that might not be your jam. Instead of wasting time getting to know each other, you might just want to get to the business and just get some quality help that acts like you would.
I have always enjoyed helping people learn and reach their goals. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience and additional experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring. Subject areas include: elementary through high school math and English, high school and college physics, computer skills, and GED test preparation. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. Looking forward to working together!

In the city of Wichita, you are not going to hear the name of your home in popular culture as much as New York or Los Angeles, but you can still get a kick out of hearing people from your city getting national attention when you listen to a song like Seven Nation Army, where Jack White name-drops Wichita during one of the verses. Our tutors at HeyTutor also got national attention and you might be coming for trigonometry tutoring in Wichita because you heard about us on truTV’s show Impractical Jokers, where HeyTutor helped provide tutors for the show.
That challenge took place in New York, home of the Jokers, but we could have done that anywhere. When you call us looking for tutors, we will treat you the same, whether you are calling from New York, New Jersey, Alaska, or Wichita. We will find you a great tutor every time, even if you think that Wichita might not be up to the same standard as other places. Time after time, we show families that our Wichita trigonometry tutoring is just as good as what we put out on TV.
