From March to November, most of the country lives in the future. Only Arizona and Hawaii still get to live in the past. I do not mean to say that there is some sort of time machine out there that you have not heard about. There might be one, but that is not what I am talking about here. Instead, this is about daylight saving time, which you know as the bi-annual falling back or springing forward of the clock. Because of Hawaii’s tropical latitude, which differs from the rest of the US because Hawaii lines up better with Mexico than the US when going directly east, the state has never observed daylight saving time. They have never had to fall back.
