To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more

Two prominent universities call Tulsa home. Oral Roberts and the University of Tulsa are enough to consider this a college town. There are plenty of good times to be had in a college town, but it is hard to enjoy them if you are struggling in a class. We have students who have had all sorts of issues while they were in college, but math classes are particularly challenging.
For whatever reason, this is a subject that causes a significant amount of grief for students all over the world. Math is not a subject that is just going to go away, especially if you are in school pursuing a degree involved in computer science. Computers might be your thing, but math is not something you look forward to doing ever. It’s not that you hate math or that it is extraordinarily challenging for you. But it is just hard for you to spend your free time on this subject.
You would much rather be working with computers or enjoying time with your friends. However, math is incredibly important and you are going to need to take advantage of these classes. Our math tutors in Tulsa understand this because many of them work in computer science. They are going to be able to show you how mathematics is applied to this field.
Discrete math is one of those classes that most college students have never even heard of or thought about. But if you are studying computer science you are going to have to take this class and get a great grade. We can match you with a discrete math tutor who understands your frustrations.
This is going to act as a friendship where you are learning from your tutor but also enjoying yourself. During your Tulsa math tutoring sessions, the lessons will be given to you in a way that you will be receptive to as a student.

Tulsa is also the location of one of the fiercest rivalries in high school sports. We all know that our high school had a rival school that we hated but always looked forward to playing. In Tulsa that is between Jenks and Union. This game is played under the bright Friday night lights in front of thousands of fans. There was even a documentary created about this intense rivalry between these two schools.
However, none of the players would be able to play in the game if their grades were not right. Coaches always say that student-athletes are held to a higher standard than those students who are not playing sports. You can fail a class if you are not involved in sports and it will only affect you. But if you fail a class and you are on the team you are going to be affecting all those who wear the uniform and those who support your school as well. Because of this, you need to get in front of any issues in class before they arise.
You know your strengths and weaknesses and right now math is not a strength. A Tulsa math tutor is going to be your coach, giving you a game plan that you can use to come out victorious in this class. You will be able to perform at a higher level on the field when you know you have your grades in check thanks to the work you put in with your private Tulsa tutor.
Just as you have to practice for football, you are going to have to study your math work. Simply going to class is not going to be enough. Math tutoring in Tulsa is going to be your practice and it is going to have you more than prepared for that class. Call us up over at HeyTutor so we can help you succeed in math and any other subject that is giving you problems.
