I am a historian, tutor, reenactor, writer, and education program coordinator from Charleston, South Carolina. I graduated with honors from Charleston Southern University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in English. I also studied European History at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. I have worked with and helped coordinate education programs all across the east coast, and I am heavily involved in local school and community outreach to bring living, breathing history to classrooms, state parks, museums, and NPS historic sites. My most sincere desire for my students is to bring history to life in a way that is memorable, understandable, and that they can relate to the modern world. I want students to walk away with excellent grades, but also with a better understanding of how the subject matter can be applied to the world around them.
In addition to my experience with American and European history, I have also taught writing and reading comprehension.
