I have lived in France and French-speaking Morocco for a total of 3 years. I spent two summers working in France and staying with French families. I majored in French at Connecticut College where I was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Department of French award. While an undergrad, I studied at Universite de Paris Jussieu for a semester. Then, I earned a master's degree in French and French literature from Middlebury College in Paris. After that, I enrolled in the French Studies/Journalism program at New York University where I completed all of the coursework towards a second master's. After my schooling, I embarked on a teaching career, where I taught all levels of French and French literature at Georgetown, American, George Mason, Villanova and Trinity Washington University. In addition, I served as Manager of Instruction at Berlitz Language Center in Washington, DC where I also instructed all levels of French language. Also, I worked as Academic Supervisor and French e-mentor for a Department of Defense contract with General Dynamics for nearly 4 years. I also served as a diplomat's instructor in French to a marine/diplomat where was preparing to serve overseas at the French Embassy in Paris. I have tutored every level of French as well, and worked as a translator and interpreter, having translated two history texts about Qatar as well as other shorter pieces.
