Laura Fairgrieve has a BA and MFA degree in creative writing. She has taught six different courses in college writing and literature over the past three years. She has been an adjunct professor of English at Adelphi University since 2014. She is a recipient of the 2016 Poets & Writers Amy Award, as well as numerous academic honors and awards. She is an experienced freelance writer and her poems have appeared in Inscape Magazine, Ink in Thirds, The Bitchin' Kitsch, East Coast Ink, and Words Dance Publishing. She will be leading a panel at this year's AWP conference in Washington, D.C.
