My name is Dr. Hettie V. Williams and I have taught survey courses in U.S. history, Western Civilization, and upper division courses on the history of African Americans at the university level for more than fifteen years. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of American history and I teach courses in U.S. history, interdisciplinary studies, and courses in the sociology program such as Introduction to Gender Studies. I have published several book chapters, essays, and encyclopedia entries and edited/authored five books. I am available to tutor students in subjects such as writing, research, GRE preparation (in the writing/verbal/history subject area sections), history, anthropology, and sociology. I can also provide professional development support in terms of proofreading MA theses, dissertations, and helping you organize your professional job placement dossier for positions in teaching and academia more generally. I can also help you organize, prepare, and develop above average seminar papers for high school classes, college courses, and graduate seminars (and professional conferences) as a widely published author. I am willing to tutor you online or at several public locations in the New Jersey Shore/West Long Branch area. Thank you for reading my profile and good luck with your academic goals!
