I have a Masters in Interior Architecture and have been tutoring fellow students for three years. The areas in which I have been sought to tutor have been in drawing, SketchUp, Photoshop, presentation board set-up, as well as giving professional and memorable presentations. From experience in a rigorous and demanding graduate program I have learned first hand what it takes to succeed in such a fast paced, detail orientated and final product focused field. I really love helping people not just learn new skills but how to most effectively and efficiently achieve their goals.
I have been studying art since I was a young child and firmly believe that anyone can become great at drawing, all they need are two things: the right education and practice. I say the right education because there are certain principals that guide a person to correctly interpret their ideas and vision to paper, which includes how to digital tools such as photoshop can play an integral role in creating a truly fabulous and memorable final product. In addition to knowing how to correctly represent 3D objects and space to a 2D format, practice is ESSENTIAL! Drawing is a motor skill, and just like any other, with enough practice anyone can become a master.
I have several years of experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp in creating both professionally accurate construction drawings and 3D models ranging from individual pieces of furniture to complex interior spaces. I also have an advanced understanding and skill set utilizing the SketchUp rendering plug-in SuPodium.
What sets me apart as a great tutor is that I not only thoroughly enjoy helping others gain confidence through learning new skills, but how to utilize a variety of tools in order to professionally express their ideas in a highly efficient manner, allowing them to save time and avoid the frustrations that come with learning new skills.
