I taught composition and English as a Second Language classes for 5 years at the City Colleges of Chicago, so I am familiar with the usage, grammar, and mechanics, and how to organize a short expository essay. In graduate school I wrote many research papers, a dissertation and published several academic articles, so I am familiar with academic standards for formal, expository prose.
I currently work for Educational Testing Service (ETS) evaluating student writing for the (GRE) Graduate Record Exam and (TOEFL) Test of English as a Foreign Language for writing. In the past, I have also evaluated SAT and GMAT essay writing exams, so I can help students prepare for these writing exams. On a freelance basis translate Russian and Ukrainian to English.
Recently I worked as a feature writer for the online neighborhood news site Logansquarist in 2016 and published 10 articles.

The comments I received back on my paper helped guide me to improve it and raise issues I had not considered. Andrea has helped me turned okay paper’s into insightful well-written (A++ worthy) papers. Andrea is clear at communicating, and overall has helped shaped me into a better writer. Great tutor! Highly skilled and highly recommend!
