Have you ever had one of those friends that would actually ask the English teacher for more homework? Or one that would jump for joy at the assignment of reading and analyzing the first half of Bram Stoker's Dracula? Well that's me! English has always been one of my favorite subjects no matter how challenging. When I was in first grade, I was very self-conscious when it came to my reading abilities. Everyone else seemed to learn without an issue while I struggled to understand even the simplest of sentences. I was assigned a tutor that I had specific one on one time with and by the end of the year, I was reading ahead of all my peers. If it hadn’t been for that tutor, I wouldn’t be a published author today with a master’s degree in English and Creative Writing with specification in Fiction. I have written over eighteen novels over my lifetime in the genres of romance, thriller, and drama. I have a passion for teaching and hope to change the lives of those who need a supportive nudge in the right direction.
Not only have I striven for perfection in my educational career but also to make the most of every day in my personal life. My husband of ten years is a Naval submariner in the United States Navy and we are the proud parents of two baby girls, one seven and one two. Our youngest daughter was just recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and that has fueled the fire within me to become the best teacher I can be. I’m flexible with my availability in order to accommodate all students no matter where the location and my promise to all of you is that I will always be here when you need me. My main objective is to help you sail past your difficulties into the calm waters of understanding and comprehension. Happy learning!
