My name is Kristen and I love to teach! I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (3.81 GPA) and a Spanish Certificate (based on ACTFL proficiency guidelines and supporting course work, in addition to living in Peru for a year and a half). I have professional experience as a biology tutor for high school students, a Biology TA for college students, and an educator for ages 3-16 at both the U. S. Botanic Garden and Bean Life Science Museum. I believe that students reach their full potential when they feel valued as an individual and when they have enough trust to freely express themselves and ask questions. My teaching motto is therefore, "They don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!" I am committed to working with every student until they realize how much fun learning can be.
